What does the befriending and telephone befriending service offer?

The service provides volunteers who can:

  • offer companionship and relieve isolation
  • provide an important link with the local community
  • support carers to get out and about in the community
  • visit the carer in their own home
  • provide support through a telephone befriending service
  • offer befriending to young carers
  • provided support to carers of all ages through group work facilitated by the Carers Befriending Project and Carers Centre.
